I cannot rave enough about this place! Their curries are flavorful and they keep their authenticity by keeping their recipes and spices to their intended levels.
If it's suppose to be spicy- please don't try ruining it by asking for them to dull their spices.
I loved eating the curry with garlic naan. Usually, I would use my hands to enjoy them but whatever is comfortable with you.
Their butter chicken was by far the best butter chicken I have ever tried. This is usually the popular dish you would order if you're new to Indian cuisine to help to slowly start out.
The restaurant was decorated in a very fancy look with chandeliers and beautifully decorated crown moldings. -

Winner winner chicken dinner, as my husband says. We went on a rainy night after having spotted it from across the road the night before. We ordered bhindi (okra) curry, garlic naan, rice, and the usual chicken tikka masala. Everything I ate was delicious, even the CTM (which my husband orders all the time and usually bores me to tears with its Campbell's soupiness in the US). Everything we ate made me so grateful this place has opened close by. One small negative was the rice, it was a bit dry and had that smell of jute that comes from being stored for a long time.
Overall, I hope that Roasted Masala does well and I'll be able to come back very frequently as their menu has plenty of good choices. -

Roasted Masala is at the corner of 105th and Columbus Ave and conveniently located near the 103rd stop on the B & C line. You can expect to be greeted by a pleasant and helpful staff that regardless of your experience with Indian cuisine they will guide you through their robust menu. This open space has yellow as their accent color, elaborate chandlers, white tablecloths, and gold columns. Although they have only been open for several months, this family-owned business already has regulars in the community. With years of experience in the hospitality industry, I am sure this restaurant will be catching the eyes of major food media publications in New York City in no time.
As I mentioned previously, I have had Indian food one time prior to dining at Roasted Masala. While in enjoying my dining experience after each dish and bite, I thought to myself how complex Indian food is and I don't mean that in a bad way. I thought about how much time it takes to make each dish and the server telling my how many spices, herbs, or sauces were used to create each masterpiece (and from scratch might I add). My appreciation for this food grew just like my stomach after each entree or appetizer. Indian food is meant to be shared, and Roasted Masala menu provides plenty of options. Your entire table will have options regardless if there is a vegetarian, vegan, or someone who doesn't like spicy.
Everything I had was great and I CANNOT wait to return soon. -

We've only ordered delivery, but the food has been stellar! Love our little neighborhood Indian restaurant. Delivery is speedy, food is still hot and crispy, flavors on point. Thanks, Roasted Masala!

Came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at 1pm with 3 other friends after reading about it in the Columbia Spectator, which described it as a more upscale Indian restaurant. There weren't too many people inside, which was a little surprising given that it just opened. For lunch, everything on the menu is 50% off, which is awesome - the regular prices arent too outrageous.
We ordered lamb korma, chicken curry, saag paneer, chicken vindaloo, 2 orders of rice, and 4 orders of garlic naan (we were starving!). It was probably one of the most satisfying meals I've had around Columbia. All of the dishes were great and good-sized portions. The naan mightve been the best I've ever had - we ordered 2 more orders (8 extra pieces) because it was so good. I'm still thinking about how fresh it tasted.
Service was great as well - looking forward to trying delivery from here!
